A Missouri man faces charges for a wrong-way crash in April that injured a pregnant woman, causing her to lose her unborn baby. The man is being charged with child endangerment, assault, leaving the scene of an accident as well as resisting arrest. According to Police, the accident occurred when a Woodson Terrace officer attempted to pull over the man for failure to turn on his headlights. The man allegedly refused to comply with the officer, and fled east on I-70, exiting at Bircher Avenue. He then traveled back onto highway I-70, drove in the wrong direction, crashed into a car and then fled the scene on foot. The pregnant woman and two other passengers were inside the car that was struck. All three were injured and the woman’s injuries caused her to lose her unborn child.
