According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Tulsa man was killed in a pedestrian accident as he tried to cross Interstate 44 on foot. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol report the man was hit by a sports utility vehicle around 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016. The pedestrian was dead at the scene and his name has not been released. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol report the SUV was headed westbound when it struck the man who had stepped into its path. The impact threw the man about 150 feet. The driver of the SUV was not injured. It is unknown if charges will be filed.
