A woman was killed in three-vehicle crash in Illinois. This week, a Waterloo, IL woman was killed near Red Bud on February 29. Authorities reported that the accident occurred around 8:00 p.m on Route 3. A Ford Explorer was heading east on Route 3 when the driver crossed into the westbound lane hitting two other vehicles, a GMC Acadia and a Mitsubishi Lancer. The female passenger of the Acadia was tragically killed in the crash. The accident also caused eight additional people to require medical treatment for their injuries. The driver of the SUV, also treated for injuries, has been charged with operating an uninsured vehicle and improper lane usage. The Illinois State Police closed Route 3 for nearly 6 hours while they investigated the crash.
