A recall for thousands of pounds of chicken nuggets has been issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The recall is for Applegate Farms chicken nuggets which Perdue Foods, LLC produces. The chicken nuggets have the potential to be contaminated with plastic materials resulting in the recall of 4,530 pounds of nuggets. The recalled items were produced on September 28, 2015, and distributed in 8-ounce boxes. All individuals in possession of the chicken nuggets should check for packages labeled with the product code “P-2617” and Best By Date of 9/27/16. Fortunately, no injuries have been suffered due to the contaminated nuggets.
