A single-vehicle auto accident in Illinois claimed the life of a woman on Monday night. The accident happened at around 10 p.m. when the 48-year-old female driver was traveling west on Illinois Route 15. According to police, she was operating an SUV and veered off the roadway, crashing into an embankment. The Illinois State Police responded to the crash and stated that she was alone in the vehicle and wearing her seatbelt. She was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead before midnight. The accident remains under investigation.
Many individuals that are involved in single-vehicle accidents believe that they do not have rights to file an auto accident case. This assumption is false because the drivers actions are not the only factor that can cause a car accident. Design flaws, mechanical defects, and dangerous roadways are also to blame for thousands of auto accidents. While the police will conduct an investigation to determine the cause of the crash, an experienced auto accident attorney should also be contacted to conduct a more thorough investigation.
