A three-car accident early Thursday morning has claimed the life of an elderly woman in Texas. The accident happened at around 7:30 a.m. in Pilot Point. Authorities have reported that a 34-year-old man was operating a 1994 GMC truck with a trailer attached along U.S. Highway 377. For unknown reasons, he crossed the center lane, sideswiped a 2015 Toyota Camry, and then collided with a 2011 Ford Focus. The collision caused the death of the driver of the Ford, a 74-year-old woman. The driver and passenger of the GMC were both injured and driven to the hospital for treatment. The driver of the Toyota, a 16-year-old girl, was not injured in the crash. The accident is being investigated by local authorities.
