A man is dead after a collision with a tow truck. Last Thursday, around midnight, a 42-year-old St. Peters man was fatally injured when his 1999 Honda Civic collided with the rear-end of a tow truck. The accident occurred on Interstate 70 east near First Capitol Drive in St. Charles County. Authorities report the Civic was speeding at the time of the crash. The St. Peters man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, and the accident is still under investigation. It is unknown if alcohol played a role in the deadly crash. Fortunately, the driver of the tow truck was uninjured.
