A product recall on about 5,610 pounds of canned Organic Roasted Chicken Breast has been made by Crider Inc. The recall has been made because two consumers that bought the product, “Wild Planet Organic Roasted Chicken Breast - 100% Chicken Breast & Sea Salt - No Liquids Added”, have witnessed an unknown matter inside of the can. About 1,496 cases of these five-ounce cans are being recalled. It has been warned that the matter may cause injury or illness to consumers.
Reportedly, about 626 food product recalls occurred in 2015. When about 15 million Americans have food allergies and many others have conditions that affect their diets, it is important that consumers know exactly what is in the food they eat. The Implied Warranty of Fitness for Consumption law provides that if a vendor distributes food prepared for immediate human consumption, it must be guaranteed that the food is fit. If it is not fit, then the vendor is liable without having to prove fault because it is an automatic liability.
