Peg Perego is recalling more than 3,000 children’s ride-on Polaris Sportsman 850 24-volt battery operated ride-on toys after reports of overheating and burns due to possible relay failure on circuit boards. The recall affects the red, silver and black models with a flip-up backrest for the passenger and includes a front and back luggage rack. The recalled product was sold online by major retailers: Amazon, Cabelas, Target, ToysRUs, and Walmart. These toys retailed from $500-$600 and sold between October 2014 through April 2016. Peg Perego advises consumers to stop using the recalled product and contact the company to receive a free circuit board including instructions.
