A pedestrian accident involved several people in a crowded parking lot over the weekend at a NASCAR race in Martinsville, VA. Police reported that 22 pedestrians were injured and nine were taken to local hospitals. A Chevy convertible is blamed for the pedestrian accident after the driver tried passing a Jeep in the parking lot when they struck the group of individuals. Officials reported that the victims ranged from ages 13-65 and it is believed that no one has suffered life-threatening injuries. The convertible driver has been charged and taken into custody.
