It is estimated that there are over 65,000 pedestrian injuries reported each year. Bicycles provide transportation for many pedestrians as well as exercise and leisure activities. It is always wise to pay attention to whatever surface you may be biking on. Many cities offer parks and trails but without proper upkeep those can crack and also be dangerous. If you are biking alongside the road, remember to bike with the flow of traffic and be attentive to another motorist. Wear reflective clothing at night and neon or fluorescent colors during the day which will help oncoming motorist see you and most importantly, always wear a helmet! Bicycle accidents can range from minor to traumatic but in any scenario, it is essential to contact a personal injury attorney.
