Authorities are searching for a suspect who struck and killed a motorcyclist and left him to die. The motorcycle accident occurred on September 19 around 6:30 p.m. near Kingshighway and Hallows Avenue. Witnesses say the hit-and-run driver was in a dark, red-colored sedan. Washington Park police say the driver dragged the motorcyclist for several seconds, reversed and sped away. Police say they are close to making an arrest and have a strong led on a licenses plate number.
The victim has been identified as an Illinois man. His family is devastated and say that he will be greatly missed. They hope more answers will be uncovered by police. If anyone knows information, they are urged to call the Washington Park Police Department.
