Several Ohio residents were killed in a Florida traffic accident just outside Panama City. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, five central Ohio residents were involved in a crash last weekend, in Bay County. The Florida Highway Patrol says around midnight on Saturday a vehicle carrying Panama City residents inside, was southbound on Pine Tree Road when it ran a stop sign and struck a vehicle carrying central Ohio residents traveling westbound on County Road 2293.
Panama City officials say three people from Ohio were killed in the accident, and two others remain in critical condition. Those that were killed include a 25-year-old, a 29-year-old, and a 30-year-old, all from Ohio. A 31-year-old and a 33-year-old are in critical condition. According to officials, two residents of Panama City are also in critical condition. The other identities have not been released at this time. The Florida Highway Patrol says an investigation is underway.
