Over 500 scooters have been recalled by GLOPO due to fall hazards. The company stated that the Joyrider three-wheeled scooters are being recalled due to possible detachment of the front wheels. The scooters have a low, foot-gripping deck, adjustable metal T-bar handle, and multicolored handgrips. The scooters come in a variety of colors and made of metal and plastic. The company has received one report of wheels detaching from the front of the scooter and injuring a child who fell from the scooter. GLOPO urges consumers to stop using the product and contact the company for instructions on a free repair kit. These scooters were sold online from Zuily.com from June 2014 through July 2015 for $50 and Amazon.com from October 2014 through January 2016 for about $80.
Companies, manufacturers, distributors, and retailers are responsible for manufacturing, distributing and selling safe and reliable products to consumers. Product liability laws are established to help protect consumers from faulty or defective products. When a product poses a danger to the consumers, this can result in serious injuries. Suffering an injury due to a product should lead to you contacting an experienced product liability attorney to investigate your case. An attorney will advise you on legal options and pursue legal action against the negligent company.
