An SUV crashed into a CTA bus in Chicago, sending seven people to the hospital. The vehicle accident occurred after the SUV ran a red light and struck the bus that then swerved and ran into another vehicle which was heading the same direction as the bus. The two occupants of the SUV, along with the bus driver, and the other vehicle driver were all taken to the hospital where their condition was stable. The Chicago Fire Media tweeted that three other victims were taken to the hospital and four people refused a ride to the hospital. Police reported that the SUV driver would be cited for disregarding the red light, but no further details have been released.
Thousands of people are injured each year in vehicle accidents. These accidents can range from minor to severe as can the injuries they cause. It is always important to remember when involved in an accident to make sure you and everyone else is okay and then call the police. The police will fill out an accident report which will contain the information of those involved in the accident and their insurance information. This will also include who is legally liable for the accident. If someone else has caused the accident, they may be liable for your injuries and the bills associated with them.
