Three people were injured in a crash involving an ambulance in Illinois earlier this week. According to authorities, the accident involved a car and an Aurora ambulance in west suburban Naperville. According to the Naperville Police Department, a westbound ambulance collided with a northbound black 1998 Toyota Camry at Aurora and Ogden at approximately 3:30 a.m.
Authorities say the ambulance flipped onto its side in the intersection with two Aurora Fire Department paramedics inside. Officials say the ambulance was headed to the station in Aurora and there were no patients inside at the time of the crash. The two paramedics were taken to Edward Hospital in Naperville. The 52-year-old female driver of the Camry was also taken to the hospital. The investigation continues, and there are no charges or citations issued. Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit is asking any witnesses to please contact the department. The conditions of the three victims are unknown.
