Crate and Barrel is recalling their Dakota benches which pose a fall hazard. The company is recalling about 6,800 benches because they can tip over when being used. Consumers are being urged to stop using the recalled benches immediately and contact the company directly for repairs. The bench was sold in two sizes: 51 inches wide by 18 inches tall and 71 inches wide and 18 inches tall, and all have two legs. The company has received seven reports of the recalled benches tipping over and four injury reports. Broken toes, a broken foot and a finger amputation have been caused by the benches. The recalled benches were sold in stores and online for $600 for the 51-inch bench and around $800 for the 71-inch bench.
