Western Gas is issuing a propane recall due to possible fire and burn hazards. The company reported that the recalled propane may leak due to insufficient levels of odorant. They are recalling around 45.7 million galllons of propane and urging consumers to call their supplier or Western Gas directly to determine if their propane is affected. Consumers with portable cylinders can contact the retailer or the Western Gas hotline to determine if their units are affected. There have not been any injuries reported and the recalled propane was sold throughout several western states.
